Heather and Dai Howells welcome you to take a self-catering holiday break in the Gower seaside village of Llanmadoc, Gower Peninsula's most attractive and well located village at its extreme western tip, and within approx 10 mins walking distance to the unspoilt Llanmadoc and Broughton Beaches.

(Gallery shows a typical circular walk from cottages west dow the lane to Broughton Beach/Bay via Llanmadoc Caravan Park, then east along Llanmadoc Beach and up Cwm Ivy Lane and home to Middle Cottage or Wagtails again)
From our cottages you can stroll down to the Britannia Inn for an evening meal, or use the local shop run by a co-operative of village resident shareholders selling fine local Gower produce, and offering teas/coffees and locally baked cakes and chocolate brownies - and once a month a breakfast. Possibly the fact that even at height of summer, the local beaches and roads never seem to get crowded, and one can find privacy, seclusion, and tranquility on the long walks around Whiteford Burrows/Cwm Ivy's sandy semi wooded peninsula, and it is not a 'through route' to somewhere else. Make your own mind up, come and take a visit.
You cannot fully appreciate the beauty of Llanmadoc, with its Iron Age fort and Bronze Age burial chambers on nearby Llanmadoc Hill, the woodland walks and birdlife such as Stonechats, Oystercatchers and Blackheaded Gulls (and woodpeckers) on the estuary pill and adjacent National Trust Woodland at Cheriton, or the vast expanse of sandy beaches along Whitford Burrows, & Llanmadoc and Broughton Bays (with some excellent sand dunes for picnics and general family fun), nor will the stunning sea clifftop walks be evident from mere photos - through heather and bracken across to Burry Holm and Llangennith/Rhossili Beach via Broughton and Blue Pool Bay.
